Inner Child Journaling

Take the week and answer one question per day. These journaling questions are a spark to help you remember who you are. Rediscover your child and reconnect to your heart. The heart chakra affirmation is “I love and accept the pure innocence within myself.”

In Your Journal

What were your favorite childhood activities that brought you joy and sparked your creativity? How can you incorporate elements of those activities into your life now?

When was the last time you felt truly connected to nature? Describe that experience and how it made you feel. How can you make more space for nature in your daily life?

Reflect on the values you held dear as a child. Are those values still important to you? How can you align your actions with those values in the present moment?

What does play mean to you? How has your perspective on play changed as you've grown older? How can you reintroduce a sense of playfulness into your daily routine?

Take a moment to close your eyes and envision your ideal creative space. What does it look like? How does it feel? What activities would you engage in? Write about how you can create a physical or mental space that nurtures your creativity.

What are some of the barriers that prevent you from slowing down and being present in the moment? How can you overcome these barriers and cultivate a greater sense of presence in your life?

Describe a recent experience when you felt completely absorbed in an activity and lost track of time. What was it about that experience that allowed you to be fully present? How can you seek out more of these moments?

Set an intention for reconnecting with your childhood essence of creativity, nature, and play. Write down one actionable step you can take today to honor that intention.

Think back to a time when you felt the most carefree and alive as a child. What were the circumstances that contributed to those feelings? How can you recreate or capture that essence in your adult life?

Write a letter to your inner child, expressing gratitude for the qualities and experiences that have shaped who you are today. Reflect on how you can nurture and protect your inner child as you move forward in your journey of reconnecting to your values and creativity.
