Where do I begin?

Let’s first acknowledge the difference between mindfulness and meditation. I get this all the time…Mindfulness is a quality; meditation is a practice.

Mindfulness: is the simple act of paying attention and noticing and being present in whatever you’re doing. When you are being actively mindful, you are noticing the world around you, as well as your thoughts, feelings, behaviours, movements, and effects you have on others around you.

Meditation: typically refers to formal, seated practice. There are many types of meditation such as Loving-kindness meditation, Mahat meditation, Mantra-based meditation, Visualisation meditation, and so on.

Which course is right for me?

If you have no prior knowledge of these areas then I would do it this way:

  1. Mindfulness & Meditation 8-week course - learn the foundations of mindfulness, meditation, and the dynamics of your mind. See if you like it before you dive deeper.

  2. Therapeutic Journaling 4-week course - Mindfulness principles are the foundation of good journaling. Once you’ve got the basics you’ll know where to start and what to write on your page.

  3. Personality Patterns 8-week course - This is an advanced program that requires a level of discipline, open-mindedness, and vulnerability. In this course, we address your core motivations and apply that knowledge to all areas of your life, including conflict resolution, communication, lifestyle choices, and emotional intelligence. This program incorporates specific journaling and meditation techniques.
