I salute the greatness in you - Jesse Aaron Rapattoni ♥️🙏

On Monday 23 August 2018, my big Brother Jesse went home to the Big Man’s House in Heaven.

28 years of age, he truly lived a life of service. For 12 years he lived his passion as one of the finest Chef’s at Matilda Bay Restaurant. One of the last moments we had together was sharing a meal he cooked just a week ago. Jesse was the kindest, most gentle loving soul always lending an ear to listen and support others when they were feeling down or in doubt..... he had a big heart and a soft spot for the Underdog.

Despite what you see on the surface, behind the big cheeky smile - Jesse fought a long, 10 year battle with mental health and chronic pain after a life-threatening scooter accident that happened at age 18. His perseverance, strength and determination to overcome his limitations were incredibly inspiring to watch.

You gave it your all mate. You lived, you loved and you demonstrated compassion beyond words. You have always been incredibly Independent - even as a little rugrat. I can never truly know what you experienced within and it is not for me to judge. I respect your decision to find peace in this lifetime and my faith in the Unknown brings me comfort at this time.

I love you Jesse Aaron Rapattoni and I feel your presence guiding me now and Always. Rest In Peace. Cook something legit for the Big Man ♥️

The little image of a present 🎁 is a gift Jesse left behind for us to discover. He picked it out from a gift store when we was just a little bub and gave it to my Nanna. My Nanna held onto it for 28 years - pulling it out on occasion when she needed to connect to something greater, and it assisted her through the loss of her own parents. When Jesse passed she decided to bring it home. The words couldn't have been more perfect.

The Celebration of Jesse’s Life was held Thursday 2 August 2018 at St Mary’s Cathedral in Perth City followed by farewell celebrations at Matilda Bay Restaurant.
