Meditation is a form of action taken in love and compassion for the self.

The ongoing practice of meditation also initiates a process of looking inwardly rather than just outwardly for acceptance and self realisation. The word action may not be first thing that comes to mind in considering stillness but the choice to connect with stillness is an action in itself.

ITA Learn To Meditate explores meditation through the ITA understanding of energy.

In short, ITA holds that all things within this world including human beings are made up of energy. When we understand, even at the most basic level how the human energy system works, we can work with it to improve our overall state of wellbeing.

ITA Learn to Meditate is designed to give you an awareness of the core dynamics at play in meditation and provide you with first hand experience of a broad range of styles, techniques and tools so that you can choose which approach is best for you. From there you will have everything you need to build an ongoing meditation practice of your own.

The basis is that we are all connected as human beings living on Earth. As each individual becomes aware of the connection we all share with the Earth the easier it will be for us to honour our planet and each other through this connection. In this light, meditation can be seen as a form of action taken in love and compassion for the earth.

Everyone can and does meditate in their own way. What we do in the ITA Learn To Meditate course is show you how to become fully conscious of this ability, so you can make the most of it in each moment.

Melaney Ryan is a fourth generation energy worker with over 30 years of clinical experience as an energy therapist. She is the founder of the Australian StillPoint Institute and developer of Integrated Therapeutic Alignment ITA energy medicine, Mahat Meditation and ITA Learn to Meditate.

Melaney’s intuitive knowledge of how to work with subtle energies was nurtured from an early age by her grandmother. Her great grandmother was an energy worker from the Canary Islands renowned for successfully treating a wide range of difficult ailments.

Building on her family lineage of skills and insight, through training with great masters and working with thousands of clients, Melaney has been able to decode the processes of our integrated energy systems. Through this understanding she has developed the unique training systems and successful clinical outcomes she is renowned for.

All ITA Learn To Meditate course facilitators have trained directly with Melaney Ryan.

For whom: Persons over the age of 14, with or without meditation experience.

What to wear/bring: Anything you feel comfortable in! Trackies, yoga pants etc. Meditation mats, cushions and blankets are provided. But we recommend a jumper as you may cool down as your body starts to relax and unwind. Please feel free to bring a journal to take notes and bottle of water.
